Recent Wild Palms Joie De Review: "My sister and I stayed on 10/15 as we were going to a concert at Shoreline Amphitheater that night. I had checked around the area for the best value and location for what we needed. I also checked the guest reviews prior to booking. We loved the decor. The rooms were clean and we think the decor is pretty cool. We loved the open air entryway and the  murals throughout the property. It was very clean, the grounds were well maintained. The pool was clean. While the room was on the smaller side, it was still comfortable and had everything we needed. While the bed is not as soft as other places I have stayed, I still slept well. There were families that were staying. We had an upstairs room on the exterior as recommended by former guest reviews. We did not hear a thing and I am a very light sleeper. The breakfast was decent. I was actually impressed that the sausage was nicely browned and yet was not in the least bit greasy, scrambled eggs, silver dollar pancakes, 4 types of juice and cereals, assorted pastries and bagels. They also had a rice cooker with fresh, hot steamed white rice and 2 types futikaki to sprinkle on it. The had miso packets and hot water too..and Kim Chee. The desk person upon checking in acted as though we were interrupting her and the one when we checked out wasn't much better initially. I was so happy with our stay when I checked out, I just smiled and thanked her..and her tone changed. She actually smiled back and wished us a safe trip home. The lady who was in charge of the breakfast buffet was really sweet and smiling. The cleaning staff were friendly and said hello in the morning. It isn't the Hyatt or any of the other major chains or a swanky boutique property but, it was really well decorated. Tastefully done. I will stay there again when I go to my next concert. It was very enjoyable and worth what we paid."
